As a bassist, he was a member of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra from 1981-1991 and continues to be a member of the Nashville String Machine, playing on hundreds of albums including those by Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Bruce Springsteen, Carrie Underwood, George Strait, Rascal Flatts, Dolly Parton, and more.
