Description
Dawn of a New Athens is the long awaited album for all fans of symphonic metal. After 4 years Aesma Daeva has compiled its strongest lineup. With Grammy award winning Producer Neil Kernon (Hall and Oats, Queensryche). This album comes with major label production and underground originality. The album opens with the doom metal epic Tisza’s Child. A wonderful song featuring the choral voices and members of (Rose Ensemble and Vocal Essence) combined with the lead vocals of Lori Lewis (Therion’s touring vocalist 2007) This is one of the most emotion and colorful symphonic metal albums released. Guitars are handled by Earl Root Minneapolis’s own “Root of all evil” ,(ex disturbed God Awful) Bass guitar covered by Chris Quinn (DODD, A Whisper in the Noise) Other Highlights include D’Oreste D’Adjace from Mozart’s recently censored opera Idomenio. It is a very original and well thought out arrangement with rock and roll tempo changes and groove, but never loosing the vocalist’s money runs that we are all waiting to hear. Easily matched in intensity is “Since the Machine” a dystopian epic of massive chords and massive proportions based on George Orwel’s 1984.
