Description
William Steinberg had to leave Germany in 1936. He went to help train the Palestine Symphony Orchestra, which would later be known as the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. There, Arturo Toscanini helped him start an impressive career in the United States which led him to the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Collected for the first time are his complete recordings made for Command Classics with 11 of 17 albums new to CD.
